Summer School Day Two: Working creatively outdoors

Bamboozle’s Summer School offers a week of one-day training courses running from Monday 3rd August to Friday 7th August. Join us at the Curve Theatre in Leicester for a series of inspiring, hands-on sessions – plus one outdoor course held at Rowley Fields Allotments in Leicester.

These courses are particularly suitable for artists, practitioners, teachers, teaching assistants, support staff and SENCOs. Each day provides practical techniques, creative approaches, and fresh ideas you can take straight back into your setting.

Day Two: Working Creatively Outdoors – Tuesday 4th August

9.45am – 4pm @ Rowley Fields Allotments, Meredith Rd, Leicester, LE3 2EQ

Created for artists, practitioners, teachers and teaching assistants working in SEND settings, particularly those using outdoor, woodland, or forest school environments. This course offers a rich, hands-on introduction to ‘The Enabled Space’Bamboozle’s approach to engagement.

  • The benefits of staff wellbeing by connecting with nature, being present in the moment and taking time to reflect.
  • How to hold space, build rapport and enhance engagement without judgement, praise, or expectation.
  • Practical tips for creating inclusive outdoor experiences that ensure young people feel seen, are supported, and are able to thrive.
  • Lesson planning that adapts to the needs, interests, and rhythms of your learners in outdoor settings.

Training will run from 10am – 5pm. There will be regular breaks, a lunch hour and a relaxed atmosphere if you need to take time out.

There is step free access across Rowley Fields Allotments, however the ground can be uneven and muddy if the weather has been bad. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this further.

Accessible parking. There is limited parking on site and on the streets surrounding the allotment site.
