Working creatively outdoors – a new Bamboozle training course

Created for teachers and teaching assistants working in SEND settings, particularly those using outdoor, woodland, or forest school environments. This course offers a rich, hands-on introduction to ‘The Enabled Space’ – Bamboozle’s approach to engagement.

This course will explore:

  • The nine components of the Bamboozle Approach to understand how each one builds connection and boosts engagement in outdoor learning environments.
  • The transformative power of being outside – showing how the outdoors can be beneficial for young people to explore, communicate, participate, and express themselves with confidence.
  • The benefits of staff wellbeing by connecting with nature, being present in the moment and taking time to reflect.
  • How to hold space, build rapport and enhance engagement without judgement, praise, or expectation.
  • Practical tips for creating inclusive outdoor experiences that ensure young people feel seen, are supported, and are able to thrive.
  • Lesson planning that adapts to the needs, interests, and rhythms of your learners in outdoor settings.
