If you’re looking for fresh ideas, practical strategies and renewed confidence in your work with learning disabled and autistic children and young people, our Winter Training Courses are designed with you in mind.

Taking place over four days at Curve Theatre in Leicester, Bamboozle’s Winter Courses combine over 30 years of experience with hands-on learning, discussion and practical activities you can immediately take back to your classroom, organisation or creative practice. Each course can be booked individually, allowing you to choose the topics most relevant to you and your learners.

Whether you’re a teacher, SENCO, creative practitioner, parent, carer or support worker, these sessions are designed to help you create more engaging, joyful and meaningful experiences for the children and young people you support.

Day One: How to Engage SEND Children and Keep Them Interested

Tuesday 9 March 2027

One of the questions we’re asked most often is: How can I help a child engage more fully?

This course explores the foundations of The Bamboozle Approach, a tried-and-tested methodology recognised by both Ofsted and the National Autistic Society. Together, we’ll explore practical ways to help children relax, build trust and feel safe enough to participate, communicate and learn.

During the day you’ll discover:

  • How to create an “Enabled Space” that encourages engagement
  • Why putting learners at ease is the first step towards meaningful participation
  • How exploratory play can reduce anxiety and build trust
  • Ways to connect with children who may be considered hard to reach
  • Strategies for responding to behaviour that challenges us

Together we’ll explore:
