Sue Pyecroft, Production & Design Director
Sue is a theatre designer, facilitator, puppeteer and maker who co-founded Bamboozle with Christopher Davies in 1994. She has been the lead designer for Bamboozle’s touring shows, developed their methodology for working with young people on the autistic spectrum and is Design and Production Director.
In 2018 Sue made her directing debut with Pulse followed by Rain Rain which toured special schools and theatres nationally until cut off in its prime by COVID-19!
Formerly an art teacher Sue has worked as a freelance artist with many theatres and arts organisations, including: National Theatre, The RSC, The Southbank, The National Museum of Qatar, Curve, Royal and Derngate, Nottingham Playhouse, The Nuffield Theatre in Southampton, The Great Malarkey Festival, Mashi Theatre, Kali, Vista and Nottingham Trent University. Sue has worked frequently as a designer, puppet director and facilitator with Spark Arts for Children in Leicester.
She is currently training as a forest school leader to support the Bamboozle Backyard – an emerging programme for providing outdoor opportunities for young people on the spectrum and their families to explore in the open air.
