Bamboozle is looking for a musician/actor to be part of the company for our production of Pulse which will tour schools in April and May 2024.
Established in 1994, Bamboozle is part of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio and has a national and international reputation. At Bamboozle we enable learning disabled children to find their own voice. We do this by producing immersive accessible theatre shows which tour the UK and internationally – China, Australia, Egypt and this year Sweden and Netherlands. We also work in schools and with families who have a disabled child delivering residencies in theatres and outdoor venues.
All Bamboozle’s work is underpinned by our unique methodology – The Bamboozle Approach which is explained here.
We are looking for an actor musician to role share the part of ‘Zac’ for the second half of our upcoming six-week UK schools tour.
You will need to be proficient in playing two (preferably all three) of the following instruments: Banjo, Guitar and Slide Guitar
We are looking for a team player who is sensitive to the needs of disabled young people but does not need to have direct experience with SEN audiences. You will be working with a friendly and experienced team and will receive training in communicating with the audience before the tour. A sense of humour is also handy!
Bamboozle is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among its workforce and eliminating discrimination as mentioned in its equality policy. We invite and actively encourage disabled and neurodivergent performers and those of diverse backgrounds and cultures to apply.
