Individual Giving

We are extremely fortunate to benefit from the support of a wide range of individuals who are passionate about what we do, often as a result of having directly experienced the impact of our work.

People have found all kinds of imaginative ways to support our work in the past, whilst having a lot of fun along the way. Here are some examples. If you would like more information, please get in touch.

Set up a regular donation: being able to anticipate regular monthly donations makes such a difference to our ability to plan with confidence. You can do this on our Virgin Money Giving page, or contact us for details of how you can set up a standing order directly with your bank.

Make a one off donation: we know that not everyone is able to give regularly, we’re really grateful to people who think of us with one-off gifts. We are incredibly humbled by people who have thought of us in making dedications to loved ones or have asked people to donate to us instead of giving a birthday or wedding gift. You can do this on our Virgin Money Giving page, or contact us for alternative options

Set up a Fundraiser or Take on a Fundraising Challenge: We’re always amazed and delighted by the creative and sometimes daring ways that people find to fundraise on our behalf. Whether that be jumping out of a plane or doing a 48-hour live radio marathon, people always seem to have fun doing it! Fundraising pleasure has also been found through bake sales, fundraising dinner parties and putting on community music events. We sometimes organise our own fundraising challenges too for our supporters to get involved with. Please contact us to let us know if you’re doing a fundraiser on our behalf, or if you need any support setting up a fundraising page or getting the word out.

Gift Aid it: If you are a UK Taxpayer don’t forget to give us permission to claim Gift Aid on your donations – it’s worth an extra 25p for every £1 that you give!  You can do this automatically if you make your donation via our Virgin Money Giving page, or you can download and complete the form below and email it back to us (please get in touch if you would like us to send a form to you instead).

Annual Gala and Charity Auction: Our unique gala and charity auction takes place in the sumptuous surroundings of Leicester’s City Rooms.  Come with a group of friends and enjoy a three course dinner in our specially themed and dressed banquet room.  With music and entertainment throughout the evening, the wine usually flows into the early hours!

You’ll also be in the front seat to bid on our charity auction, with a great range of one-off prizes.

We’re always really keen to hear from individuals who can gift us gala prizes or source prizes for us from their business and personal contacts. We find that ‘money can’t buy’ experiences are particularly popular, as well as holidays and short breaks.
