Individual Giving

We are extremely fortunate to benefit from the support of a wide range of individuals who are passionate about what we do, often as a result of having directly experienced the impact of our work.

People have found all kinds of imaginative ways to support our work in the past, whilst having a lot of fun along the way. Here are some examples. If you would like more information, please get in touch.

Sushma Kotecha, Individual Supporter in 2025:

I chose Bamboozle as one of my charities for the Leicester Half Marathon because of the incredible work they do in giving learning disabled children a voice. Their commitment to creating immersive, accessible theatre and fostering inclusion through schools and family projects is inspiring. Supporting Bamboozle means helping children and young people find ways to express themselves and feel like they truly belong.” – Sushma Kotecha

Bamboozle has been lucky enough to be supported by the Fosse Business Breakfast Club throughout 2024. One of their members, Sushma, kindly chose to run the Leicester Half Marathon in support of Bamboozle and another local charity Lamp.

Sushma raised over £2,000 with her brilliant fundraising effort, half of which came to Bamboozle. We are so grateful to Sushma for choosing us.

Could you run in aid of Bamboozle? Let us know! Email tina@bamboozletheatre.co.uk.

Set up a regular donation: being able to anticipate regular monthly donations makes such a difference to our ability to plan with confidence. You can do this on our Paypal Giving Fund or contact us for details of how you can set up a standing order directly with your bank.

Make a one off donation: we know that not everyone is able to give regularly, we’re really grateful to people who think of us with one-off gifts. We are incredibly humbled by people who have thought of us in making dedications to loved ones or have asked people to donate to us instead of giving a birthday or wedding gift. You can do this on our Paypal Giving Fund, or contact us for alternative options.

Set up a Fundraiser or Take on a Fundraising Challenge: We’re always amazed and delighted by the creative and sometimes daring ways that people find to fundraise on our behalf. Whether that be jumping out of a plane or writing a book, people always seem to have fun doing it! Fundraising pleasure has also been found through bake sales, running a marathon and putting on community music events. We sometimes organise our own fundraising challenges too for our supporters to get involved with. Please contact us to let us know if you’re doing a fundraiser on our behalf, or if you need any support setting up a fundraising page or getting the word out.

Amy Mayo, Family Supporter in 2025:

Amy Mayo and her family have been attending Bamboozle events since she was 5 years old. Now 21, Amy has written a short story, Eye of the Storm, with the help of her teacher. Using her blinks as Yes and No she had chosen every word with great precision and the result is a richly described short story.

Amy decided to write the book as a response to Bamboozle’s invitation for people to make a pledge to raise money to celebrate our 30th year.

Sales of Amy’s books have so far raised over £2,000 and we are continuing to sell copies, included signed versions by Bella Ramsey and Amy’s fingerprint.

“Bamboozle has been a huge part of our family’s life over the last 18 years, all provided to us free of charge and we wanted to be able to give something back thereby providing other families with the same opportunities to make as many happy memories together as we have.” Iona Mayo, Amy’s Mum

Gift Aid it: If you are a UK Taxpayer don’t forget to give us permission to claim Gift Aid on your donations – it’s worth an extra 25p for every £1 that you give!
