Corporate & Community Support

We couldn’t do what we do without the help of a huge number of corporate and community supporters, who never cease to amaze us with their generosity and imagination in finding ways to generate funding for us. If you know a company or community group which might be looking for a Charity to support, please tell them about our work! You can download and share our annual supporters update document at the bottom of this page.

We’re always happy to visit companies and to talk at community events so that all those involved can get a personal insight into the impact of our work and the difference that their fundraising will make.  We also like to invite our supporters along to our Showcase events, where they can see our work first hand and network with other local businesses and community groups.  We have a range of fundraising resources from collection tins to information flyers, which we’re more than happy to supply to help with any fundraising efforts.

People have found all kinds of imaginative ways to support our work in the past, whilst having a lot of fun along the way. Here are some examples. If you would like more information, please get in touch.

Corporate and Community Charity of the Year: Many organisations select a Charity each year to focus their fundraising efforts on. For businesses this might be through payroll giving, bake sales and team building fundraising events.  For community groups this might be through coffee mornings, talks and concerts.  For both businesses and community groups it usually involves both a lot of fun and a lot of cake!

Annual Gala and Charity Auction: Our unique gala and charity auction takes place in the sumptuous surroundings of Leicester’s Winstanley House. Bring a table of guests and enjoy a three course dinner in our specially themed and dressed banquet room. With music and entertainment throughout the evening, the wine usually flows into the early hours!

You’ll also be in the front seat to bid on our charity auction, with a great range of one-off prizes.

We’re always really keen to hear from businesses who can gift us gala prizes. We find that ‘money can’t buy’ experiences are particularly popular, as well as holidays and short breaks.

Regular Giving: Being able to anticipate regular monthly donations makes such a difference to our ability to plan with confidence, so businesses who are able to make a regular monthly donation make a huge difference to what we can do.

One-off Donations and Fundraising Challenges: We know that having a target can really help with a fundraising drive and so some organisations prefer to make a one-off donation or to take on a time-limited fundraising challenge. We sometimes organise our own fundraising challenges which teams from businesses or the community can get involved with, but we also love it when people get creative and come up with imaginative fundraising challenges of their own.  These are usually great ways to develop team building and to connect with the local community.

In Kind support: Sometimes resources are far more valuable than money. We’d like to make special mention here of the incredible value of in kind support which we have received over the years from Encore who have supplied us with a huge amount of specialist equipment without charge.

It’s impossible for us to recognise all of the organisations who have made a difference over the years, but we want to acknowledge here those who have contributed during the current and previous financial year (this isn’t always easy to keep up with, so please get in touch if you think we’ve missed you in updating this page)
