Bamboozle’s Winter Courses offers four days of one-day training courses running from Tuesday 9th – Friday 12th March 2027. Join us at the Curve Theatre in Leicester for a series of inspiring, hands-on sessions.
These one-day courses are suitable for creative practitioners, teachers, SENCOs, parents, carers or anyone working with children and young people. Each day provides practical techniques, creative approaches, and fresh ideas you can take straight back into your setting.
This course will give you strategies to implement in your lessons or workshops immediately. Christopher Davies, co-founder and Artistic Director of Bamboozle, will explain the impact The Bamboozle Approach has and how you can use it to engage your children and young people. It is a tried and tested methodology, recognised by the National Autistic Society and Ofsted. We will share with you Bamboozle’s 30 years of experience in delivering long-term culture-change projects in the autism learning environment as well as our more recent outdoor work with families. This course covers key areas of the Bamboozle Approach which can be applied and integrated into your own practice straight away.
• How to create an Enabled Space so that learners engage more easily.
• See a practical demonstration of how putting a group at ease enables its members to engage.
• Discover ways that exploratory play builds trust, reduces anxiety and provides child-centred opportunities for expression and learning.
• Techniques for building connections with children and young people who might be described as being hard-to-reach.
• Strategies for working with behaviour that challenges us.
