Traces – a new show for autistic audiences in 2027

An outdoor sensory show in the landscape for autistic children and young people.  

The audience gather in a woodland clearing and wait. A call draws us into the forest where we encounter a badger which disappears into the undergrowth. Following, we discover a musician – and create a musical soundscape using the echoes of the forest. We listen through headphones on the journey. A mysterious figure invites into a clearing. Birdsong and breezes. Clouds above the canopy. Then the badger again – needing help to return home …. 

With live music, puppetry and very few words the audience is led on a magical sensory journey through nature.

About Bamboozle’s shows for autistic audiences:

These performances are intimate shows for a maximum group size of 6 – 8 children accompanied by their teachers, carers, or family members.

Keeping audiences small allows our experienced Bamboozle performers to give each child focused, personalised attention. Where there’s a need for 1:1 interaction with the young people, we will advise 4 young people attend.

We’re always happy to discuss the requirements for your young people and make reasonable adjustments when booking.

What you need to know:

Recommended age range: 6-14 years

Performances: We’re able to provide up to 3 – 4 performances throughout the day, each show for a maximum of 6 children.

Outdoor space required: If your school has access to a wooded area then this show could be for you!
