Bamboozle is a world-renowned theatre company with inclusivity at its heart. The company specialises in working with learning disabled children, their families and carers.
At Bamboozle we endeavour to traverse barriers that inhibit communication to enable learning disabled children to find their own voice.
We do this by producing immersive accessible theatre productions which tour the UK and internationally. We also deliver family and school projects in the UK and overseas.
We have an established relationship with SCHAT in Shanghai, and this summer we are touring shows to festivals in Holland, Sweden and Timber in the UK.
What we are looking for:
Bamboozle is looking for a black male musician/actor to play the role of Zach in Rain Rain this autumn.
The performer would need to be able to play percussion, and a washtub bass to a competent level. To be able to play banjo/guitar is desirable.
The performer would need to be a team player, sensitive to the needs of disabled young people, but does not need to have direct experience with SEN audiences. The performer will be working with an experienced team and will receive training in communicating with children on the autistic spectrum before the tour. Sense of humour also handy!
Bamboozle is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among its workforce and eliminating discrimination as mentioned in its equality policy.
Bamboozle invite and actively encourage disabled and neurodivergent performers and those of diverse backgrounds and cultures to apply.
