Rustic Farmhouse stay in Andalucia

A week for up to 4 people in summer 2023 May to September.

The village of Fontanar lies 2,500 feet up in the Cazorla National Park and  is ideal for walkers, nature lovers, cyclists and those seeking to escape from the hustle and bustle of busy cities and experience life in a small, rural farming village in the mountains of Andalucia. Think Driving Over Lemons by Chris Stewart!!

Querencia is a rustic farm house above a valley in the village. It is fully equipped as holiday home. The house has a kitchen, dining room, lounge, four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It also has a patio and roof terrace.

The village of Pozo Alcon is 10 minutes away by car and has a range of shops, restaurants and bars. In the summer months it has an open air swimming pool as do all of the nearby village. There are also two thermal spas 20 minutes away. The beautiful city of Granada is 50 minutes away and the coast of Almeria is 90 minutes away. The historic cities of Seville and Córdoba are three hours away. The train station in Guadix  is 40 minutes away takes passengers to Madrid and other major cities.

Please note:

Due to the location and layout of the house it is not suitable for small children.

Car hire is essential. The house has no WiFi but bars in Pozo offer this.

Flights and transport are not included. The nearest airport is Almeria – 1.5 hours away. Malaga is 2.5 hours away.
